Fall Shopping+Tattoos= Good Times

So the day before yesterday I met up with my friend Bobby Jay to see him get tattooed on Hollywood Blvd. I hadnt been to the boulevard in a while which is weird because I use to hang out there everyday when I was a teenager, but It's definitely changed- everything has. I guess because its still summer over here there's a shitload of tourists, and if your a local it can be annoying sometimes. Seeing my friend get tattooed kind of renewed my love for it, and I even asked how much it would cost for a dime sized tattoo-when he said $80 I laughed in his face, so he lowered the price. But I feel like if you come to get tattooed on Hollywood Blvd your doing it more for the "prestige" and less for the actual artwork. Anywho I've decided to get tattooed finally in about two weeks, you'll have to wait for the vlog I'll film for it! Later that day I randomly went into the Forever21 on Highland not expecting to find anything appealing, because I never do! But to my surprise I went nuts- loving all their fall and winter stuff. So heres the things I chose, trust me I tried ALOT of clothes on, and thats really the trick with Forever21 clothes, you gotta take advantage of the dressing rooms! Also I subscribed to Nylon again lol. As for the barbie pink velvet hangers I bought them yesterday at "Fallas Paredes" (a discount store) only $3.99 for a set of 10!! not bad eh? OH BEFORE I FORGET I made a new youtube video CLICK THIS :) I THINK YOU'LL LIKE IT :) annnnd THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO WISHED ME A HAPPY BIRTHDAY YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST ♡♡♡you cheered me up with all your comments especially LaSophia omg I laughed so hard at that story LMAO.

Here are a few of the things I've picked up this month. My birthday was on the 26th but it was so uneventful its not even worth talking about it. Turning 22 wasn't as great as I thought it would have been when I was younger. But maybe I've yet to experience true happiness, or maybe I've just got the birthday blues. Who knows... either way I can tell you a valuable lesson Ive learned on my birthday..not everyone is who they say they are. Meaning that the people who calls themselves your friends arent always really your friends, these days it seems like no one is a real friend anymore. I guess I tried to fill this nagging void with "things", so I make lists of all the things I want then when I get them...then what? nothing happens. So I guess what I'm trying to say is that money cant buy you friends or happiness, but it can buy you a whole hell of alot of pretty things.

Today I wore this and I semi regret wearing this denim shirt because I was boiling alive! this heat makes you not want to go anywhere that doesn't have a/c. Anyway I went to Barnsdall Art park with Jake and they always have the organic farmers market here but its kind of expensive so I just skip it, but they do have awesome pupusas (for those of you who dont know pupusas are handamde tortillas with cheese and or meat and beans inside) their made by a Salvadorian lady who knows her stuff! Did you guys know I'm half Salvadorian? I dont think I've ever mentioned it...hmm..anyway my other half is Puerto-Rican, which is why I'm so dark LOL! Anywho check out this park in Hollywood/Los Feliz Area if your ever in LA it has amazing views if you go to the top of the hill. There's also a musuem and a sculpture garden, its discreet and a nice place for the kids to run around-if you have any! haha

Hi. So when shooting this with Michelle the other day she told me I reminded her of an 80's Azzedine Alaia model. I think thats one of the best compliments EVER! If you dont know who Alaia is he's an extremely inspiring couture designer who's impecable clothes have graced the likes of Michelle Obama, Madonna,Victoria Beckham, Miley cyrus and countless others. He's known for his moniker "the king of cling" because of the body-con styles of clothing. For those of you who've seen the 90's movie "CLUELESS" -one of my faves- remember the scene when she gets mugged and the guy tells her to get on the ground, shes like" oh no this is an Alaia!" referring to her tight red dress. Anyway this goes to show you you can dress cool without having to be a millionaire to afford it.

Here's a little surprise post YAY! I shot this in my secret garden (not my ladyparts lol >_<) but more like this quasi backyard. I hadn't been there in years! not since I used to smoke pot there before class in the mornings-it gave a whole new meaning to the word "Highschool" -ZING!!!! HAHA anywhoville today was chill Michelle (my photographer/ homie) and I went to the farmers market and discovered this weird fruit called dinosaur something-i forget the other fancy word-but it's a type of organic apricot,they taste really weird but good. Then we had to balance all that organic fruit with some preservatives(as part of any balanced diet of course!) so we went to Wendy's to eat some dollar menu shtuff cuz we ballin like that! inside tumblr joke ;) We managed to snap a couple of shots and all in all it was fun hanging out and being normal again. Anyway how was your day?

I read the other day that Gwen Stefani is launching an expansion of her Harajuku Lovers line for Target called Harajuku Mini. The line is designed for none other than our precious mini-me's -kids! It meant to be an "affordable Japanese anime inspired" line for babies and tweens. It debuts November 13 with budget-friendly prices from $3.99 - $29.99. Personally I love how gwen dresses her older boy Kingston, hes soo punk! I'm definitely checking out what she has to offer for my little Jacob. Since this post is a little different I thought I might as well show you some of the latest additions to Jake's wardrobe!

I paired it with my high waisted denim shorts from LoveCulture-which i actually bought at another discount store for $2.99 OH YEAH! TOTAL OUFIT COST=$7.00= WINNING!

Hi there! heres my most recent video I did that I forgot to share with you all earlier, Ive been pretty out of it lately-still, Ive been trying to get over my "funk" by getting out of the house with Jacob(my son) and thats kept me pretty busy. Another lame reason why I havent done a fashion post is because jacob threw my blackberry the other day playing around- its dead now. I'm kind of a cheapo these days so I'm extremely hesitant to buy a new phone, when I barely get calls anyway. Anywho since I cant reach my friend who takes the pictures for here, It'll be a little while until the next one. On the other hand I'm trying to stay positive and keep up with my hobbies so I started painting, scrapbooking, shopping and generally trying to do things that make me happy again. I know this might be counterproductive in helping me not be depressed but I cant stop listening to the carpenters lately. LOL Karen Carpenter has me in a 70's mood. Isnt it funny that what we feel and are going through can have an impact on how we dress? I think thats kind of interesting...

So today was hot as hell! Comik and I managed to snap a couple of these before work, and I feel like I looked mad in alot of them haha, I was seriously sweating the whole time ew lol. On top of that the heat made my hair puffy hence the hipster fedora. Im aware that the title for this post was also of a cheesy old lady show but I thought it was kind of appropriate considering the "urban-jungle" type of scenery and the fact that I'm wearing bright lipstick, funny huh? Anyway the shorts in this post were actually boring old grey pants that didnt fit snug-guess I lost some weight-so I cut them and studded the back pocket. This is a really big trend I've seen everywhere and I'm wondering if any of you have done it?

I dont know if you follow me on twitter but I tweet alot-kinda- and I let you guys know there what happened with my tuesday post. Since it was a fail-day I decided to film this quick vid instead. Ive really been liking floral shorts since its not something I would typically wear, but now Im on the hunt for some high waisted ones almost like old-timey bloomers lol. Anyway today was kind of a cool day I went to this art park with Jacob (my baby son) and there was a photoshoot going on, it was kind of exciting to see what they're like so I was being a total lurker. I ended up having a quick chat with the makeup artist and she was super nice and encouraging when I told her I wanted to become an MUA too! and now I'm considering going for some formal training, I know its not necessary but I think I would be alot more confident in my skills. Today was totally a mundane monday for me. I was planning on heading to the beach but when I woke up I had the most severe ear pain, I felt horrible. Towards mid-afternoon it was tolerable but I still wasnt up to much, which is why I didn't bother doing anything with my hair. I still ended up having to make a Costco run to buy diapers for the kiddo, where I noticed Costco has some amazing summer makeup sets for only $10-$15! Unfortunately I've put myself on a Makeup Buying Ban because I'm going to IMATS (the international makeup artist trade show) later this month. I went to IMATS last year and got to meet alot of famous youtubers-some were sweet, some were rude- as well as feast my eyes on all the beautiful discounted makeup. Anywho tomorrow's a brand new day, let's hope my ear dosent fall off and die LOL. Well I'm off to watch old episodes of My Little Pony- that always makes me feel better!

   Today my friend Michelle and I shot this on a semi-secluded hilltop park with great views in the Hollywood/Los Feliz area. Ive been going to this spot for years and its so serene up there, as much as it can be in the middle of the city. I hadn't seen her in over a year so it was a cool reunion, just like old times.I feel like having this blog in a weird way is helping me reach out to people and be more social, which is weird because you would think the opposite of a nerdy blogger like me LOL! i kid i kid-but seriously its making me want to go places and try new things and just be all around more adventerous!
    Moving on- the inspiration for my outfit today was Roy Lichtenstein, cartoons, and the brand Black Milk. I was feeling bold and wanted to try something creative and fun. I'm definitely living up to the name STYLE SCHIZO because I'm wearing different things everyday, and it just goes to show you that you can rock anything with confidence all you gotta do is be a little brave. After all it's fashion not rocket science!

So today was kind of lame, I wanted to shoot but couldn't-conflicting schedules and all that jazz.But good news is my friend Michelle has offered to take a couple pictures for here on saturday so we'll see how that turns out. Im always the type to plan ahead but when it comes to outfits I wait til the last minute because it always feels more organic to me and I know I wont look over-styled half the time, or at least thats my thought process. Anyway the whole american flag trend is huge, im definitely not one to follow the leader but i quite like this- however I'm not gonna spend $70 on the topshop shorts or anything else for that matter- girls gotta pay bills! Well Ive Been Working on this blog for a month now making my header, fixing the layout,amongst other things I still dont know how to do. All I can Say is Im no web designer so for now this is as good as it gets.One thing that really bothers me is my header isnt centered, and since I'm learning along the way I dont know how to fix it, if theres anyone out there that can help pleaseeee let me know. Valentines day is like a month away but every store Ive been to in the past week has had all the displays out already and I LOOOOVE all the pink and red and cute things everywhere it just makes me feel good.I guess the whole scheme of v-day puts me in a good mood. I always look at stuff and say "awww i wish someone would get me this for valentines day". So because I dont have anyone to get me stuff Iv'e been shopping alot! New Years Resolutions.

2010 is overrrr. Finally! Not that I dont love spending time with my son but for the past year I was a stay at home mom, now I'm excited to start living and loving life. Being a stay at home mom is not an easy thing contrary to popular belief. A lot of the time your alone and frustrated, i have dealt with postpardum depression, but never told anyone until now.Why am I deciding to speak about it now? Well I honestly feel like no one understands how I feel, not my mother- not my friend who has no children.So if this can help someone or help me to vent and try to let go of all these bottled up feelings, then I'll write. Its been a definite struggle for in my first year of motherhood. From learning how to read my child, to taking care of him when he got sick, to having to hustle and sell my belongings to buy diapers. His father has been no help, never bought a single diaper. But I'm proud of myself, so far my son is an extremely beautiful, sweet, intelligent child. I've done things that I never thought I had the courage to do.My First Resolution for 2011 is to make a career for myself and Jacob. I'm ready to be the person I never thought I could be. A woman who is independent and able to stand on her own two feet. I want to let go of all the anger I hold inside, I dont know half the time why I'm so angry. Sometimes at my sons father,for not being there, but mostly at myself, for what.. I still dont understand. Release me from my guilt and fear and be able to fly, to go for my most "unattainable" of dreams. I have a fresh start, its what I have been waiting for. THIS IS MY YEAR! AND THIS IS YOUR YEAR TOO! DO EVERTHING YOU'VE EVER DREAMED OF AND DONT GIVE UP! WE CAN DO ANYTHING! WE ARE BEAUTIFUL,INTELLIGENT,COURAGEOUS, AND STRONG. DONT LET ANYONE TELL YOU "YOU CAN'T". Because when they say that its because they cant and they're scared.

♡Stila Warm Glow Set Review♡

Hey there! So a while back I made a video on youtube showing and reviewing the Stila Warm Glow Set #1, and I wasn't gonna do a follow up blog post because I thought it might be redundant but since doing the video I've changed my mind about the products.

The set comes with mascara, a liquid eyeliner, bronzer, a mini kabuki, and a lipgloss all for $13.67 at Costco. Pretty good eh?

The standout products are definitely the kabuki brush and the eyeliner pen! With the bronzer a close 2nd

The bronzer scared me at first, it looks extremely orange in person but when you put it on your skin it gives a nice tan.

The kabuki is one of the best Ive tried so far its super mini but convenient and super soft and dense. Amazeballs! I take it everywhere, you can even use it to touch up your face or blotting powder.No shedding at all so far. I now have 3 stila brushes and I have to say I'm quite impressed with the quality.

Like I said before the standout product here is the eyeliner, its a liquid felt tip pen that is waterproof and nearly bulletproof lol! here are some swatches! I fell asleep with the eyeliner on my hand after that and it was still there the next day! Even a famous youtuber by the name"jazziebabycakes" made an entire video about this eyeliner! You get great control and lasting power. The downside is if you buy it separately it costs around $20-something bucks!

The lipgloss is named "Harmony" and its a super sparkly light pink, looks subtle yet flirty on lips and looks soooo shimmery in the sun so dont put too much! hahah^_^ sadly I couldnt take a decent picture of it;( cute but not something worth buying on its own.

Last but not least a few words on the so called"MAJOR MAJOR LASH" Mascara...It sucks.

ZILCH! one of the girls at walgreens almost laughed at me for asking her if they were in stock?! Rite -Aid never even got em' at least the one I go to! and the CVS near me is so small they harldy even have ANY makeup at all! DONUTS & NAILPOLISH...WHAAT?

Yesterday me and my little son went out for donuts, I know not the most exciting thing in the world but for some reason I totally forgot how good donuts are! hahahhhha

Anyway afterwards we went on a little stroll through the neighborhood and went to my local Sally's beauty supply store, which I dont know if it's just me but I hate the people that work there! They're rude as hell, don't know what they're talking about at all just overall dont like going there anymore but I wanted to buy the China Glaze X-mas nailpolishes to do a giveaway on twitter. So they were pretty much sold out of the cute colors- only ugly ones left- and not to mention they cost $8.00 per bottle which is RIDIC! I get mine for $3.50 usually.So ended up walking further to a random nail supply in the hood hahaha and got two bottles of the OPI Burlesque collection polishes! YAY ME!

You should soooooooooooo pick these up! or maybe you'll get lucky for christmas..........hmmm..lol^_^

Hey there pretty girls so this is gonna be a mini review of the ELF HOLIDAY PALETTE that I got at target for $5 in the beginning of the month. First off let me say this is a great stocking stuffer or x-mas present if your on a budget! having never tried ELF eyeshadows before I wasn't expecting much, but it was better than I expected. The weird thing about it is that the eyeshadows are really hit n' miss. Which means some are really nice and some dont even register on the pigmentation scale.

Here are some swatches in no particular order:

Pros: good mix of colors/variety, decent quality, super affordable, sleek packaging, convenient for travel( or at least more convenient than that massive 120 palette) great for beginners as well!

Cons: lackluster pigmentation on a few of the eyeshadows, not something worth buying if you already own a lot of palettes!

Overall I honestly think this palette is great for everyday because the eyeshadows have enough pigment in them that you dont have to sit there and blend for 10 minutes.
Keep in mind if you already own a bunch of eyeshadows this is not something you need to rush out and buy but if It sounds like it would come in handy give it a try and let me know what ya' think!

NICKI MINAJ & MAC COLLAB

So yesterday I was reading some blogs and came across one that said Nicki Minaj ( the female rapper-for those of you living under a rock) has done a collaboration with MAC Cosmetics to launch a lipstick called Pink Friday to coincide with the release of her debut album by the same name. The lipstick is a brand new, limited edition shade of pink of course! and it will be available every friday from November 26 through December 17. It will be available online only @ www.maccosmetics.com.

The lipstick finish is a Satin and is described as a bright creamy pink. It costs $14.50

On a side note did any of you watch the American Music Awards? I did! it was pretty awful. hahahaha. Here's what Nicki wore.

Altough I understand the concept of this dress as an art-piece and I actuaaly like the gold ribcage part the bottom seems so busy and kinda like a christmas tree with all the details and ornaments. But hey would you rather see her in this or a boring black dress? Personally I like her style as an artist.

Sephora Goodies!

So this is a bit overdue,but here are the crap-load of pics I took from the stuff i bought from the friends and family sale that sephora had a while back. :)

As you can see,I didn't go too crazy just cuz there was a sale the way I see it, something is always on sale anyway lol.

this little box is a palette that stores about 49 eyeshadows on each side as well as 35 lip-glosses on each side.In the middle it holds 3 "blushes" altough the one on the far left looks like a bronzer to me.

It also comes with 5 pencils that consist of 3 of them being eyeliners and 2 being lipliners. Below the pencils are 6 "creme eyeliners" again I put quotations because from what I can tell the consistency on these are more of an eyeshadow base,think NYX JUMBO EYESHADOW PENCILS but less thick. And last but not least it comes with a mini mascara and some disposable brushes.

This is my first ever NARS eyeshadow, LET ME TELL YOU GUYS I AM IN LOVE!

THIS PICTURE WAS TAKEN AT NIGHT AND REALLY DOES THE DUO BY THE NAME "CHEYENNE" NO JUSTICE! LOL:)

THE BODY BUTTER WAS SOMETHING I HAD HEARD A "BEAUTY GURU" BY THE NAME OF ANDREA'S CHOICE (WHO I MET THIS YEAR AT IMATS) MENTION AS HER FAVORITE. Sorry about the all-caps i had it on and didnt want to re-write the sentence hahaha. Anyway it's called Tuscan Blood Orange by PACIFICA. I really like it! the last pic are my 3 free samples, a kate somerville SPF serum, A mattyfying lotion and a pucci perfume sample,I havent tried em out yet. So all in all I ended up paying about 35 bucks for everything,which is crazy because just the sephora pallette alone costs $48. AWESOME:p

So I havent posted in a while, i apologize. Life hasnt been easy on me lately I've been feeling like all this crap has been piling up on me and I have no shovel to get it the fuck outta my way.LOL. At least I still have a sense of humor, thank god. I have tried to get back into my spirituality, my dad was a buddhist interestingly enough so he passed along some of his wisdom to me, yet I still cant find the inner strength to overcome my depression sometimes. I think about maybe trying meds but I have a huge reluctance because I dont even take simple aspirin when i have a headache! Not to get too into it but some of you guys know I have a small 10 month old child and I'm a single mom. I got pregnant when I was 19 years old and I never planned on having kids. Right now I'm trying my best to raise my son by myself but it's definitely an enourmous challenge everyday. If this story can serve you in any way I hope it encourages you to protect and respect your body and be cautious of what people say, rather judge them by actions. Thank you for reading.

So Im thinking about cutting my hair short..HELLA SHORT! to me having long hair solidifies my femininity and always just makes me feel more fun playful and girly but having bleached my hair an un-fathomable amount of times dying it purple/ red /pink and every color under the sun, lets just say I think I can for sure get a role as the the straw dude from the wizard of oz!

HOW TO:ASSEMBLE A $7 IKEA TABLE!

Hey guys! So I've had this table and a couple of other home decorating projects waiting for me assemble them for a couple days now. I got all this cool stuff on my birthday on my first trek to IKEA. If you've never been to IKEA before I really recommend it, if your into home decor and cool stuff like that! So i got about 80 bucks worth of stuff because i wanted to redo my room. As any new mom would know once you actually have the baby and they become mobile it's a whole different ball game. You have to make your surroundings as safe and practical as possible. So anywho I really enjoyed doing this project and it was surprisingly easy to put together! NO MEN OR TOOLS REQUIRED! lol
HERE IS THE STEP -BY- STEP PICTURE TUTORIAL! ENJOY!

The table comes unassembled for 4 "table legs" and 4 dual sided screws.

The end of each leg has a hole like this! *lol*

Each side of the table has a hole where you insert the nail securely although you can only turn it twice to your right before it stops.

Make sure the nail is straight and proportionate to the leg and table or you'll end up with a crooked table!

Twist the leg all the way down and the nail will eventually dissapear into the table and inside the leg.

The last part of twisting is the hardest as you have to twist it all the way straight and give it no room for wobbles.

This is what your finished project will look like!

I dont know about you but every year when my birthday rolls around I get excited like a month before. Thinking of where I'll go out, how much fun I'll have, how many presents I'll get, and how better this one will be than the last one. My 21st birthday is in 3 days and I have no plans. No money, no friends, no glamour. I always felt that by the time I was 21 I would be so independent, that I'd know how to drive, that I'd have a job- be in college -whatever! and yet I dont have any of those things. Life never turns out the way you planned does it? What I do have I'm thankful for, although sometimes you just cant help but sing the birthday blues.

All you need is love right John Lennon? yea..well that and maybe a cute little pink purse. lol.
My friend was nice enough to send me this for my b-day it was the only present i received from anyone. Its a handmade purse. And its made out of potato chip bags! how awesome is that? right up my alley!

WetnWild Color Icon Collection Haul/Review/Swatches

What up guys! so here are my crappy swatches from the wet n wild eyeshadow palettes I got,sorry the pictures arent better quality, I'll try better next time. There are four palettes in the collection and I got three of them. They're all named after sins, which is pretty cool, and each palette also comes with a brush and a sponge tip applicator. There are 3 matte colors and 3 shimmer colors in each palette.

This one is called the Lust palette and it consists of: (from top left to top right) a matte yellow white with tiny shimmers,a matte baby pink, a shimmery gray, matte purple, a black w/ purple-pink shimmers,and a matte dark purple.

This one is called Pride and consists of 3 shimmers: white, jade green/teal, royal blue although the shimmery white seems more like a frost,the mattes are the corresponding colors except for the matte blue is darker.

Last but not least this one is called Envy and consists of a shimmery purple-gray with gold shimmers, a peach with gold shimmerz, a black with silver shimmer and 3 mattes as well: beige, coral-peach, and black.
OVERALL I REALLY LIKE THESE COLORS THEY ARE MOTLY ALL GREAT WITH A PRIMER OR A CORRESPONDING CREAM COLOR BASE. FOR EXAMPLE I USED MY WET N WILD GEL EYELINER IN PURPLE OR "AUBERGINE" UNDERNEATH THE LUST PALLET AND THEY LOOKED AMAZING OR IF YOU USE THE PRIDE PALLET UNDERNEATH A BLACK BASE SUCH AS A NYX BLACKBEAN OR MAYBELLINE EYESTUDIO CREME LINER IT MAKES THE COLORS SUPER VIBRANT AS WELL. WHATEVER PRIMER OR BASE YOU USE WILL ENSURE YOU ARE GETTING YOUR MONEYS WORTH,BECAUSE ON BARE SKIN THESE SHADOWS ARE PRETTY DISSAPOINTING.
